Scrapbooking Goodness!

In 8 days Our Scrapbooking retreat begins! 4 days and 3 nights to scrapbook! No intereptions, no puking kids, no worries. I am so stickin' excited I can't stand it! Over the past month I have been buying every bit of scrapbook goodness I can find. Yeah I went over board!!

My First stop was to Scrappin at the Pink House in Charleston.
I bought a new acrylic album, the new Zach line and some of the American Crafts Metropolitian line. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best, I rated this store a 3. They had a good bit of new lines that I had been waiting to come out. The only thing I did not like was the seperate rooms the products are displayed in.

After leaving the store we had to drive through Beaufort. What's in Beaufort? Another Scrabook store! Carolina Stamper. I bought some Tim Holtz grungeboard and American Crafts rub-ons and some flowers. I rate this store a 3 as well. Again the store is sectioned off. Each theme has it's own area. The store is so stocked that you can not step back and really see what is available.

I was really tickled that I was able to visit 2 stores in one day but yet my scrapbooking bliss did not end here.
The next day we left for Pennsylvania to visit Marc's Mom. Once the kids and I got a few hours of sleep we headed to Gettysburg to visit my sisters Bakery. Yumm-o! And of course what is down the road from her Bakery? A scrapbook store.
Forevermore Scrapbook Store. This store also rates a three. Again a house converted into a business. Each room had a different theme. On this trip I picked up some rub ons and Fancy Pants pattern paper and ribbon.

After visiting mom in law, we happened by yet another scrapbook store in Belair, MD. ScrapMasters Scrapbook and Photo Cafe. This store scores a four. Nice open spaces and new products. I bought some heidi swapp ghost birds
The lady who rung me up said "geeze you bought all the new stuff I just put on the shelves today." My husband said "surely she does not know your scrapbooking obsession (addiction)?" What can I say? I have all the old stuff!

When we got back to Mom and Dad's, we went to AC Moore. Here I found some vinyl for my circut and some Queen and Co. felt boarder.
Five, count them, 1 2 3 4 5 scrapbook stores in 48 nours Woo Whoo! Have I died and gone to scrapbook heaven? The only thing I need is my weekend away to scrapbook.

Since our trip, I have ordered from 2peas, received my monthly kit club from Scarletlime and was the highest bidder on ebay for the new home accent Cricut die!

Big Water here I come!

Citizenship Day

Today was Citizenship Day at our State Capitol. Winston was chosen to represent his elementary school of 2000 children. Children were selected by their character, discipline, service and leadership. After a speech given by our Governor, Mark Sanford, Winston posed for a photo op with the governor.

After the ceremony we visited Finlay Park in Columbia. This park has a beautiful man-made waterfall. We enjoyed walking to the top and skipping across the stones.

We are proud of YOU, Winston!
