What Has Kept Me So Busy?

We found out Labor Day weekend that we could have a ton of paver bricks. I know just where I am going to put them!

This is only the first load of pavers.

I want to make a patio under our firepit. Lots of weeds to pull and ground to level. Also a quick lesson in math for Winston as I challenged him to measure and figure out the area of my rectangle and figure out how many pavers are needed. He is so smart!

Winston acolytes for the first time at church. 11 years ago I was pregnate with Winston when we joined Island Lutheran Church.

A boat ride on Marc's boss' boat.

Marc was supposed to go with me and the kids, but he messed up his back pretty good. On the way home from picking up our second load of pavers, our trailer snapped. Luckily just before we were going to turn on 278!

Winston cleared out the woods to ride his dirt bike.

Not only did I layout my patio, I layed pavers for a sidewalk leading to the patio. Widened my garden and planted many butterfly attracting plants.

I just need to add the gravel inside the boarder.

Contessa joined the volleyball team as the team manager. Great experience!

A Dolphin Cruise aboard the Vagabond with my Girl Scout Troop.

Dolphins, Dolphins, Dolphins! What a show!

Turtle patrol with the Girl Scouts.

We saved 13 baby Loggerhead Turtles!

And today I finally scrapbooked a page!

I was inspired by a contest at The Scrapbook Studio. Check it out. I love Sketches!!!

Saturday, I will be snaking away for a few hours to scrapbook with the Savannah girls. I was afraid to scrapbook this past month for fear I would have nothing to scrapbook this weekend.

All I can say is...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!

Since school has started we have been so incredibly busy!
Hmmm, I wonder what today will bring? So far my kids have not remembered even though we talked about it all week and the newscaster just said today's date as we are waiting to go to school.

Cuttin' Through The Brush

Since Labor Day Weekend, Winston has been hard at work cutting a trail through the woods to ride his dirt bike. Here he is the first weekend. He is still getting the hang of the bike.
(Please scroll down to turn off the music to listen to the commentary.)

With one week of riding under his belt, Winston invites his friend Jackson over to ride. The boys plan to add on to their trail once the weather cools down at bit.

The look on the boys' faces are priceless!!!!

PageMaps Sketch Inspiration

Page Maps has another great sketch on their site. The sketch is a 12 x 12 layout that I used in 8 1/2 x 11 format.
Here's the sketch... and the great prize pack.

And here is my take.

The wedding cake was made by my sister at her bakery, Seasons Bakery in Gettysburg, PA.

Take a peek at what Cecile is up to over at the Scrapbook Studio. She has put together a pretty incerdible kit club.

What could you possibly do for 15 hours?

This is the question that is always asked when I tell a friend that I will be scrapbooking for 15 hours on a Saturday. You can just imagine the look on their face! And what do we do when we are scrapbooking? My friend Sid summed it up quite well. We take beautiful pictures and paper and cut it all up and then glue it back together!

Here we are settled in for the next 15 hours.

We have endless hours of entertainment by Our Queen Scrapper ~ Jamie.

And here is what I came up with...

So, who is hosting the next crop?
